Cleanup request[edit]

Could somebody please remove the lower section about the robbery and split it into a separate article, since it refers to a German Volksbank and has thus no connection to Volksbank AG, nor its shareholders, the Austrian regional Volksbanken. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Robin of locksley (talkcontribs) 09:31, 13 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The informations provided are not only outdated, they are misleading and do not reflect the situation of the Volksbank sector in Austria. In brief:

In Austria there are 35 local Volksbanks (by end of 2015), each oft them organized as cooperative or corporation. Until 2017 they will merge to 8 regional banks and 2 specialized banks. They build an integrated system of banks (association of Volksbanks) connected trough a contract of collaboration. The central institution is VOLKSBANK WIEN AG, the biggest regional bank of the group. The central service functions were transferred from Österreichische Volksbanken AG (ÖVAG) to VOLKSBANK WIEN AG in July 2015. ÖVAG itself surrendered the banking license. The "remainder of ÖVAG" continues to operate as a wind-down entity under the name of immigon portfolioabbau ag. Immigon is responsible for ensuring the orderly, active and value-preserving wind-down of its assets.

I'm no expert, but I can try to update this, if nobody else wants to within a week. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Oegv.website (talkcontribs) 09:21, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
