What is a kernel?[edit]

Kernels are the functions k() in the definition of Volterra series (k for kernel). They generalize the notion of kernels as used for example, in the theory of linear integral equations as with Kernel (mathematics). JFB80 (talk) 17:52, 20 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
