Requested move

[edit]
  • Oppose all except WIMS and revert corresponding station pages (except WCAT-FM and WMAQ-TV) to base-callsign titles. There are no other existing stations with these callsigns; it's generally unlikely that a casual user would be looking for one of the past stations with the same calls. The non-station items for WATL and WCAT appear to be of similarly minor importance. Many of these same pages been moved in the past, and subsequently reverted for similar reasons. — stickguy (:^›)— || talk || 04:00, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose all except WIMS, per stickguy. I don't know about stickguy's additional suggestion to revert to 'base-callsign titles', since I'm not familiar with this domain. However, the relative notability of the various entities seems to be nicely handled by DAB pages that now exist, and I oppose this particular set of requested moves. (Otherwise we use up space emphasizing the titles of stations that are no longer in service under those names) WIMS is the exception because there is no clear leader in notability among the things called 'WIMS' that are still in service. Comment: My reference to "base-callsign titles" was to the fact that the requester had moved the article previously at WAGA to WAGA (TV), and so on for most of the others, in advance of this request. The extra "(TV)" or "(FM)", in my view, would be superfluous if we keep the dab pages where they are. Sorry for the lack of clarity. — stickguy (:^›)— || talk || 22:16, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
