License Renewal
[edit]I have worked (on air and as engineer) for both 96.5 FM and 1490 AM, very familiar with them. I'm now in Birmingham, AL, market chief engineer for a nationwide group. Can't remember my Wiki login, so this will appear anonymously.
FYI, the license renewal was (and generally is) totally routine. Every station in the USA is required to periodically renew its license, and the announcement mentioned here is a script written and required by the FCC. That paragraph in the Wiki probably could be deleted as having served no purpose whatsoever. It was a standard license renewal. It's like announcing that cheese for sandwiches should be sliced. -- Stephen Poole, CBRE — Preceding unsigned comment added by 23.120.6.247 (talk) 16:00, 20 July 2020 (UTC)
WAZZ/WFLB
[edit]- Shouldn't most of this entry be moved to the WAZZ page? Naytchrboy 03:21, 30 June 2007 (UTC)

- I deleted the merge tag from this page. These are clearly two different radio stations, albeit they have confusing histories, and I see no good reason for them to be merged D O N D E groovily Talk to me 02:53, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
