Fair use rationale for Image:Wjct.PNG[edit]

Image:Wjct.PNG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Intro[edit]

The recent version of the intro introduces a number of style errors. Links should be in the first reference to a subject - ie, "Public Broadcasting Service (PBS)", not "Public Broadcasting Station (PBS). Alternatively it can just be PBS. Additionally, Jacksonville, Florida is the correct way to link the subject, not Jacksonville, Florida - Florida is an WP:OVERLINK as it's a broad topic familiar to anyone.--Cúchullain t/c 21:58, 19 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Again, the current version of the intro better follows Wikipedia's manual of style. There's no justification for removing it.--Cúchullain t/c 20:30, 22 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Reply: Florida ain't overlinking, its just important. Besides, can you just stop reverting WJCT and leave the things that are supposed to be this way?! CentralTime301 (talk) 20:13, 24 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Besides, the current intro doesn't follow Wikipedia's MOS. CentralTime301 (talk) 14:33, 25 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I already explained to you that breaking up the link of Jacksonville and Florida is against the style guidelines, and that we link the first mention of a subject and not the second, which shouldn't even need explaining. WHat is the problem with doing these things? Also, you claim that the "current intro doesn't follow Wikipedia's MOS, in what specific ways is this the case? If you don't have a good reason for doing what you're doing, and are just edit warring your personal preference, that isn't going to work.--Cúchullain t/c 14:40, 25 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I thought we were past this, but CentralTime301 has continued reverting these changes back in. Again, they do not follow the manual of style. If there's something wrong with the current wording, bring it up here and we can fix it, rather than just reverting and tagging.--Cúchullain t/c 14:16, 14 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Fully protecting WJCT?[edit]

I think I have to request full protection on WJCT to prevent edit wars. Do you want me or no to do this? CentralTime301 (talk, contribs) 22:26, 13 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@CentralTime301: I don't think that will be necessary. You've already been advised to stop edit warring, so the easy solution is for you to stop. Discuss your proposed change, and the reason for it, in the section above and make changes only if there's consensus.  — Amakuru (talk) 22:58, 13 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
CentralTime301: It's more likely that we'll go back to ANI to deal with your revert warring. There is no other problem here that would warrant page protection.--Cúchullain t/c 18:02, 14 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
