The station was issued a forfeiture notice by the FCC for $12k for failing to keep its antennas painted.[1]. Their web site is now disabled, and the FCC search shows no license for WMEL - unknown if the call sign changed or the FCC pulled the license, but WMEL is part of radio history.StreamingRadioGuide (talk) 03:51, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
