I'll rework the paragraph to avoid copyright violation.
- I fixed said problem, however I can't find much info on Tirel, besides the death of Rufus. The information on Rufus' death is a mix of prior information here, and information on the William II page.
- Found a book on Walter Tirel at the local library, I plan to pick it up as soon as possible.
Walter Tirel is thought to be a distant relative of our family, Devin. What is the name of the book, could you elaborate on anything interesting you found in it? There is suppose to be a lymric about it as well. Much appreciated, thanks.

Was Tyrell really born in Kent in 1065 as the son of a Norman lord? Seems a bit far fetched. He was surely born after Hastings. I will check this before altering. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kingshalmaneser (talk • contribs) 07:30, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

name[edit]
the article changes spelling of the name, and it gets confusing, as it changes in the paragraph. One name should be chosen, and the only variation is that used in quotes. I think Tirel should be used, since that is the title. 98.206.155.53 (talk) 03:54, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
D Tirrell[edit]
Confused about info regarding Walter I - the Notes section lists his death in 1044, but also says he built castles in 1046 & fought in the Battle of Hastings in 1066. I've found other sources that list his death in 1044, but they seem to be copies of this same Notes info. Walter the II wouldn't have been old enough to do either of those things, so I'm confused... 70.234.131.176 (talk) 20:23, 14 June 2012 (UTC)
