Comment[edit]

I've just noticed that a line from this article (The Cup is intended to be a thrice-a-year competition, to be held in July (twice) and September (once), as part of independence commemoration celebrations in the Solomons, Vanuatu and Papua New Guinea, respectively.) appears in an article of the Post-Courier online. [1] Just to be clear, the Post-Courier plagiarised me (by copy/pasting that line from what I'd written Wikipedia), not the reverse. I wrote that line on June 17th, as you can see in the article's history, and it appeared in a Post-Courier article on June 24th. I've seen websites use stuff that I'd written in Wikipedia (without indicating the source), but I do believe this is the first time one of my contributions to Wikipedia has been plagiarised by a national newspaper. ;) Aridd (talk) 15:45, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
