[Untitled][edit]

I believe that something needs to be mentioned in this article that the war of the roses is done by actors due to the fact that it is illegal to put someone on the air without their knowledge. -- 66.167.235.171 (talk)

I think someone needs to provide a citation for FCC rules preventing it from being real. Otherwise, that's an unfounded assertion. 128.157.160.13 (talk) 20:29, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I think its valid to mention that FCC rules make this type of show illegal as presented to the audience. However, I have removed the language stating that that is *why* the stations use actors. There is no evidence to suggest the stations' motivations. Perhaps, lacking the FCC rule, they would still use actors because it is more entertaining? --RobertGary1 (talk) 02:01, 16 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Uncited Assertion Removed[edit]

I've removed the first two paragraphs of this article asserting fakery and giving the lengthy explanation of the FCC rules on recording and broadcasting conversations, as the assertion was unsupported since April 2012 and the rules made no sense without it. I added a very brief description of the premise and the holder of the "War of the Roses" service mark, but this article really needs to be heavily revised or completely rewritten, including a cited source for fakery if that assertion is to be made. --Chuckhoffmann (talk) 19:30, 29 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
