B-class review: failed[edit]

For WP:POLAND. Agree with previous milhist review, the citations are insufficient - there are unreferenced sentences, some paras, too. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 19:59, 23 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Re-review: citations have been added, upgrading to B-class. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 15:48, 26 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Name?[edit]

On another note, I want to raise the issue of this article title, it may be better of at Military of Medieval Poland. Or perhaps Military history of Medieval Poland. And should Medieval be capitalized here? Alternative versions would replace medieval with a date range, or "in the Middle Ages". Or, "of the Kingdom of Poland". --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 19:55, 23 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The general history article covering roughly the same period is History of Poland in the Middle Ages. So, perhaps this one could be at Military history of Poland in the Middle Ages? SeveroTC 20:05, 23 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Another possibility is Warfare in Medieval Poland. "Military of" always seems anachronistic when applied to pre-modern times. Monstrelet (talk) 17:34, 24 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I think Warfare in Medieval Poland seems better, also more correct as a translation of the Polish wiki article (wojskowość w Polsce średniowiecznej). I'll be bold and move the article. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 17:37, 25 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Name, revisited[edit]

Another issue: this also covers the period of renaissance in Poland, so shouldn't it be Warfare in Medieval and Rennaisance Poland? And overall, I'd prefer Military history of Medieval and Rennaisance Poland or such to 'warfare'. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 01:22, 5 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
