Incorrect data in Games Developed
[edit]Someone filled games table with wrong data in this article.
Smash Squad - was never developed by Wargaming's in-house developers. Master of Orion: Conquer the Stars - was never developed by Wargaming's in-house developers. Hybrid Wars - was never developed by Wargaming's in-house developers. Pagan Online - was never developed by Wargaming's in-house developers.
What's the process of correcting that? 178.127.96.152 (talk) 09:33, 23 February 2022 (UTC)
Where's the criticism?
[edit]Clearly this was written by an insider. And there's no criticism at all. Not only is the format poor, it's also self serving and acts as an advertisement. And again, where is the criticism? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 100.11.128.55 (talk) 08:38, 6 August 2015 (UTC)
- So where's the sourcing for such? You've twice now blanked the article, but you've not added anything with any depth. Maybe they do deserve criticism, but if they do, this will be supported by WP:RS elsewhere that we can then cite here. What we don't do is to just create unsourced opinions out of nowhere. Andy Dingley (talk) 08:57, 6 August 2015 (UTC)
- Scanning the history of the article, I see zero evidence that an insider is a major editor of this article. I do, however, see evidence that YOU are attempting to damage the article, so please stop. If you have valid sources for these alleged criticisms, and they add value to the article, please be bold and add them. TheWizardOfAhz (talk) 16:43, 9 October 2015 (UTC)
- Regardless of what the IP above may or may not be doing, he or she has a point. This is a fluff piece and clearly this article is being controlled by someone involved in Wargaming. And LOL at "Belorussian-Cypriot," that's junk. It's a Russian company through and through. Just because they happen to be registered and headquartered in Belarus and Cyprus means nothing. It's as Russian as Russian industry can get. I see even the English Wikipedia isn't beyond Wargaming's reach in terms of bias, censoring and control. Disgraceful. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 100.11.128.55 (talk) 03:39, 30 December 2015 (UTC)
- Wargaming is based in Minsk, Belarus, and that is where the development studio for World of Tanks is located. Wargaming hired Persha Studia from Kiev, Ukraine to develop World of Warplanes, however that does not mean that Wargaming is "Ukrainian". Wargaming then hired Lesta Studio from Saint Petersburg, Russia to develop World of Warships, however that does not make Wargaming "Russian" either. Hell, Wargaming has development studios working on projects in Chicago (Xbox WoT) and Seattle (Excalibur), does that make them American? Of course not.
Wargaming, from the bones of it, is undeniably Belorussian. As for whether it is Cypriot, I can certainly leave that up for debate. From what I gather, they've moved their main building to Nicosia, and they trade their securities on the Cypriot market. Nevertheless, referring to the company as simply "Russian" is rather nonsensical, uneducated and ignorant, and is somewhat akin to calling french fries "French" (for those who still don't know, frenching is a verb). --benlisquareT•C•E 19:10, 6 January 2016 (UTC)

Hello Discussion TheWizardOfAhz (talk), I am new to Wikipedia (1 week), but it is fairly clear IMO that this article fails to comply with WP:CSD#G11 and How To Disclose . However I am trying to create a very similar page in sandbox (purely as a reference to an organization), which is being deleted for infringement. If I am infringing, apparently, by creating a similar page, EVEN if I am prepared to comply with WP:CSD#G11 I am still infringing on How To Disclose , then on what grounds is this page allowed to remain? This article as far as I can see infringes both WP:CSD#G11 and How To Disclose (PAID CONTRIBUTION TEMPLATE MISSING), so please clarify. Many Thanks GarethMabs (talk) 15:33, 28 June 2017 (UTC)
Cyprus SEC material...
[edit]I read the English, and it looked wrong, because they were backdating a delist of a security, which isn't actually possible (or legal) - you simply can't announce the delist of a security in September 20XX and then claim it's retroactive to January of that year, because the instrument has been trading in that time (and the Cyprus SEC would in fact "not be protecting the interests of the investors" by doing that). The Greek original, by the way, gives a totally different set of dates, and since it seems to be a 2014 event (as I can only read the dates), it really hasn't had any discernible effect on the company. POV issue
[edit]Long story short: there's not a single word about WG:NA financial difficulties, nor the many closing of their once thriving studios, nor any other issues, and pretty much everything in the article is more or less positively biased and promotional up to some point. 96.127.193.42 (talk) 09:25, 27 December 2018 (UTC)
- Every claim made requires reliable sourcing, of which you have provided none. If you could provide these, other editors (such as myself) can help you get the relevant claims into the article. Lordtobi (✉) 12:26, 27 December 2018 (UTC)
- Upon another review, the article is only minorly biased. Several COI/advertising parts had already been removed several days ago, and some unsourced parts still need cleanup, but it is obvious that the POV issue is not prevelant in the entireity of the article. Given the lack of response to my question and the lack of sourcing for the information supposed to be added makes for a bad argument for the POV. Please focus future discussion here. Money laundering
[edit]The citations for the money laundering accusations are not from credible articles, and may be part of a disinformation campaign: https://www.reddit.com/r/WorldofTanks/comments/p90nah/yall_need_to_stop_falling_for_fake_news/
Controversies Text
[edit]On the first point in the Controversies section, it is followed by this line: "In 2017, Wargaming started a mobile games division called Wargaming Mobile." It seems disconnected from the controversy, and might be misplaced from somewhere else? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2604:3d08:437f:f521:1ca2:cf45:67b7:557b (talk • contribs)

Wargamings CEOs
[edit]Did not find it yet. Wargamings CEOs list: - "Victor Kislyi - CEO & Co-Founder" - "Andrew Tinney - CFO" - "Matias Myllyrinne - Head of Development" - "Nick Katselapov - Executive Director & Chief Business Development Officer" - "Vangelis Georgiou - Managing Director & Head of Global Publishing" They are all on LinkedIn with their profiles. 77.191.72.67 (talk) 11:26, 4 March 2022 (UTC)

[edit]I think this subsection should be seriously shortened. I see not point in WP:PROMOting company's image here.--AXONOV (talk) ⚑ 09:08, 17 March 2022 (UTC)
Free-to-play
[edit]@Benlisquare: I suggest we put things straight: in order to succeed in their games you have to pay. Otherwise one would evolve very slowly. It may take easily years to complete many branches in WoT. AXONOV (talk) ⚑ 19:16, 17 March 2022 (UTC)
Did he resign or was he fired?
[edit]In the section "2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine" - we say that "Creative Director of Wargaming Sergey Burkatovskiy resigned from the company" - but one of our two English language source says that he was fired - and the other says "has been let go". I don't think we should be giving the impression that Wargaming were passive in this matter. [1] also says that he was fired - because of a Facebook page quote where he said that he supports the invasion. It says that Burkatovskiy said that he "broke up with the VG"...which seems to me like he's trying to make it sound like he resigned - when in fact he was fired.
PCGamer got an email from Wargaming that said "He has been let go and is no longer at the company."...and, we all know that "let go" means "fired", not "resigned".
Since the majority of sources point to him being fired - I'm changing our article to say exactly that.
SteveBaker (talk) 14:15, 24 May 2022 (UTC)
- @SteveBaker: Himself he simply said that he and Wargaming just "broke up" (Russian: разошлись. [[2]][3]. Wargaming afaik didn't clarify how exactly this happened. The rest is only media speculations. AXONOV (talk) ⚑ 08:48, 27 May 2022 (UTC)

RACISM
[edit]NOUN prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism by an individual, community, or institution against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized: "a programme to combat racism" Racism is not Asking why people from a country are on servers that they are not supposed to be on , War Gaming Are a very Racist company when it comes to Russia , they decided to break all ties with Russia indeed setting up a new group to carry on there, the company has failed in its duty of care and has accused people of being Racist if they mention Russians , very insecure company trying to follow western ideas while not knowing the facts of what is Racism or what it entails by lawful rules or terminology , in short very abusive and somewhat challenged company , not at all what they preech 2A00:23C8:87B0:6001:D8C8:DC26:1299:7BA2 (talk) 19:10, 7 September 2023 (UTC)
Wargaming united
[edit]Wargaming recently(today levels of recently) released bundles in in their games to support United24, thus causing Russia to reportedly declare anyone playing WG titles that they were risking treason charges, unsure where to put this specifically, but I believe activism might be a good spot KoP152 (talk) 21:04, 18 October 2023 (UTC)
