Creation[edit]

As this article is now active, it needs a bit of work. Has anyone got any ideas on how to improve this page? My ideas are:

  • A small paragraph about each 'group' of races (eg Imperium, Eldar, etc...)
  • Create a template that can be used on every Warhammer 40,000 page containing links to various 'key' articles.
  • Get some images for this page, as examples of each group.-Localzuk (talk) 12:02, 23 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am going to work on these ones, hopefully getting something up within a reasonable time.-Localzuk (talk) 12:02, 23 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I can see an obvious flaw in this layout; Imperium isn't a species, Human is a species. Mixing references is sloppy and if nobody objects i'm going to adjust the layout of this article to accomodate. Sojourner001 16:01, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

References[edit]

I'd suggest dropping in the GW 40K website ( http://uk.games-workshop.com/warhammer40000/ )as a reference. --Tethran 19:43, 21 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Largely, see Talk:Warhammer 40,000#Reference for my views on adding links to the GW website as references for these articles. In this case, this article is basically just a list: the references can be found on the page for each army; there's no need to duplicate them here, with the obvious exception for races that don't have their own page. I can see a race on the list called 'Scythians', never heard of them before in all the time I'v played Warhammer 40,000, and the link takes you to an article about the Scythian people of antiquity. Could this be corrected? --Ghandi_91

This list is incomplete, i haven't gone through it all because i simply am not big enough of a lore buff, but it at least misses the mecharachnids, you can read about them in the Horus Heresy book2: False Gods. They were the simple minded creatures that the lunar wolves (later named sons of horus) faught on (can't remember planet) where they actually had to retreat eventually due to the ferocity of these vile creatures (and the seemingly endless numbers) luckily these creatures seemed to simplistic for spacetravel though. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.236.242.26 (talk) 00:42, 18 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Work[edit]

This article needs some big help. It sums up most of the other articles and bridges the gap from Warhammer 40,000 to the individual races and armies. Colonel Marksman 01:00, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
