Wat Khao Wong or Wat Tham Khao Wong?[edit]

It seems there is a big confusion concerning the two temples Wat Khao Wong and Wat Tham Khao Wong - not only here but also in the internet! Both are situated in Amphoe Ban Rai. But:

  • Wat Khao Wong Phrohm-majan (วัดเขาวงพรหมจรรย์) lies in Tambon Wang Hin near Chainat Province,
  • Wat Tham Khao Wong (วัดถ้ำเขาวง) lies in Tambon Ban Rai near Suphanburi Province.

The description of this article seems to refer to Wat Khao Wong Phrohm-majan, while the photo(s) show Wat Tham Khao Wong in Tambon Ban Rai.

Please verify. Thank you. --hdamm (talk) 17:54, 24 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Coordinate error[edit]

{{geodata-check}}

The following coordinate fixes are needed for Wat Khao Wong == 15.1,99.5 (I realize this is imprecise; I can't easily find the Wat on satellite. I DO know where it is, however.  :-)

Yes ... what he said! Jamesdowallen (talk) 04:22, 3 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It seems to me that this article can't accurately have one location coordinate if the article is about two different temples. I reckon that this article should be split into two articles about the individual temples. I have no knowledge of the temples or the topic at hand and only came across this page because of the {{geodata-check}} request. What do you think? Matt (talk) 22:04, 17 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Split[edit]

The article appears to be about two temples. There should be a separate article for each temple, assuming that the individual temples are deserving of individual articles. Matt (talk) 22:06, 17 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have gone ahead and split this article into Wat Khao Wong and Wat Tham Khao Wong. Matt (talk) 02:09, 19 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Since the article has been split and each of the two articles now contains (apparently correct) coordinates, I've deactivated the {{geodata-check}} template in the thread above. Deor (talk) 23:48, 23 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The difficulty is that this article mentions two entirely different provinces. The coordinates may be correct, but the text is not. --DThomsen8 (talk) 13:23, 24 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Better now? There are eight tambon named Wang Hin in various parts of Thailand, and the last editor of the article seems to have just searched WP for Wang Hin, landing on a page for a district (not a tambon) that's unrelated to this location. Deor (talk) 19:09, 24 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
