Start

[edit]

I can find no article on this subject in Wikipedia. It may eventually need breaking down into smaller subject areas as it is such a huge subject. Making a start. GRALISTAIR (talk) 14:39, 19 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Starting to populate the article and also adding references including patents GRALISTAIR (talk) 20:20, 24 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Now submitted for review. Hopefully other editors can add as necessary. GRALISTAIR (talk) 19:54, 25 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Chemical sequences

[edit]

One of the weaknesses of this article is there are no chemical reaction sequences. My editing skills are not good enough to do this yet but perhaps another editor could help. GRALISTAIR (talk) 15:04, 6 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

No mention of alkyd emulsions

[edit]

The section "Waterborne Alkyd Resins" discusses water-reducible alkyds but does not mention alkyd emulsions. These are two different kinds of alkyd resins, and I gather that the latter is newer and favored because of its significantly lower VOC's than water-reducible alkyds (for example, cf. this doctoral dissertation: https://digitalcommons.calpoly.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=2838&context=theses).

I lack the understanding to add this information myself, but it seems like an essential aspect of this topic that needs to be incorporated. ScribeMonk (talk) 18:16, 25 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I am a technical editor of JCTR and have access to all journals so I maybe able to do this myself unless someone else wants to GRALISTAIR (talk) 19:52, 25 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have made a start. Any help would be appreciated. GRALISTAIR (talk) 14:07, 26 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Further reading

[edit]

I thought the further reading section was a little heavy on epoxy and not enough/any on other systems. I am starting to improve this GRALISTAIR (talk) 15:52, 31 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
