list of makers by country[edit]
The list of makers by country does not make any sense. Waterman is owned by an American company, the pens are made in France. Montblanc is owned by an American company, the pens are made in Germany.
The text of the page says that the French subsidiary of Waterman absorbed the American company. Waterman pens are made in France. On these bases, I would list Waterman under France. The fact that Waterman is owned by an American company isn't, IMO, the issue.
Waterman S.A."ruler"[edit]
Ruler? No idea what that is. Did a little looking around. Still no idea what that is. It was added here with no explanation. I suspect it's not supposed to be there so I'm going to remove it. If I've made a mistake, please explain why and add it back in. – JBarta (talk) 05:54, 7 November 2014 (UTC)
Florida Hospital Waterman[edit]
Just wanted to mention that Frank D Waterman (mentioned in this article) founded the Florida Hospital Waterman in Eustis, FL 1923[1] 2601:881:8102:2F00:2501:6F55:C230:2E3 (talk) 17:40, 29 August 2016 (UTC)

Waterman's ad[edit]
I have most of an original Waterman magazine ad.
Unfortunately, the magazine name and any date had been removed in order to frame the picture that appears on the reverse side.
What stands out from the ad are - - -
- 1. The ad features the "Number Seven" model with six different "points" with each point a different color (Red, Green, Purple, Pink, Blue, Yellow) to indicate a different point style/type.
- 2. The cost of $7.00 with the accompanying description of
- "Made of beautiful resilient Ripple stainless rubber, protected with a
- lip-guard to prevent breaking, and an unequaled, patented filling device."
- 3. An advertising motto/phrase of
- "Guaranteed since 1883 and until 1983 -- one hundred years of pen service"
- 4. A business address of -- 191 Broadway, New York
- 5. And other cities where an L. E. Waterman Company store could be found.
- Chicago Boston San Francisco Montreal
Personally, I think some of the info from the ad could, and should, be worked into the entry.
