Only Peace Park?

[edit]

I dispute the following sentences: "It was the world's first International Peace Park, symbolising peace and friendship between the two countries. To this day, it remains the world's only one set up with that primary purpose". What about the International Peace Garden? Also on the Canada US border, and also set up in 1932, Waterton-Glacier mmight not be the first, and it isn't the only one. --Canuckguy 01:19, 17 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The peace park is a place for vacations. You learn about how it is two parks in one. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.141.69.207 (talk) 21:27, 14 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

US Congress Act

[edit]

An Act was approved by the US Congress May 2, 1936 for the park. The article currently points to the date of formation at 1932. There might be some point to be made about why Congress was enacting this at this point in time. Based on the act, there should be a U.S> presidential proclamation about this matter.
