WayV and NCT connection confirmed, but it's connected to an unreliable source
@Evaders99: SM Entertainment's board of directors and executive of A&R spoke back in Jun 2019 giving a presentation about NCT. During this presentation he said that NCT had 21 members, and specifically stated ""for the chinese market, NCT has a subunit called WeishenV," confirming their conection. However, while this video is a primary, reliable source, it is connected to a tweet by a fan. There are many edit wars that start on this page regarding WayV's connection and this source can prove it. But how would it be used here?

This group isn't even listed as part of NCT on SMTown's own website. See for yourself: https://www.smtown.com/search?keyword=NCT&star_idx=10024. They are updating about the other two units but nothing about this one. NCT Dream's own member recently called the group a 18 members group. They are associated with NCT because they share some members but besides that nothing has even remotely connected them to NCT. The NCT members they share are even excluded from NCT merch since this year. You can make whatever excuse you like but unless there is an reliable source this article should just refer to them as a Chinese group debuted under SM Entertainment but I guess the real editors of the site have just given up on Kpop groups.--2A02:8108:1840:1474:8485:F1EB:BC8C:80C1 (talk) 20:33, 9 November 2019 (UTC)

- There is more than ample discussion on WayV's connection to NCT. They are from the same company - they literally have NCT members and have recorded NCT songs. But if you want English sources, here are some. I don't believe all are the most 100% reliable, but as an aggregate, they aren't bad. I don't believe we need to cite the obvious sky is blue here.

- Personally i don't think there's a need to put their pets inside. but if you'd like, it can be a new category under "Personal life" or "Family" or "Dorm life" i guess. Can these be used for sources?

- Yea I agree on the pets portion as well. But noted on the sources validity. I could try to find more credible ones but don't see much point since we've reached a consensus on not to place their pets in.
- I think if eventually a "Merchandise" category is created (if anyone does), the pets can be mentioned as part of the "WayV Family Life" photobook release. Perhaps that might be more apt? Intuivo (talk) 05:19, 4 August 2023 (UTC)
