This article describes "stafell Cynddylan" as the earliest recorded literary work by a woman in Northern Europe. Firstly, is the writer accepted as Heledd? I thought that was generally accepted to be a literary conceit, and we do not know the name or sex of the composer. There is no definition given of "northern Europe", and no references for evidence of no other female writers in the area (not that that matters if the sentence above is correct). Should this bit of information be deleted? And possibly get rid of the adjective "haunting", which seems a bit of an odd word to use. ("Which some people call haunting", with a reference seems a bit over the top and -well, useless.) Don't want to alter it immediately myself without anyone else chipping in as my knowledge on this subject is minimal, but just seems oddly written. Ceiniog (talk) 00:51, 27 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This article needs to be developed, or deleted: It started long ago, but seems largely to have stood still. Energy might better be spent on the two main Welsh literature articles. Rwood128 (talk) 20:24, 6 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
