Inaccurate information

[edit]

This article needs work or needs to be deleted. It contained libelous information, stating that the subject has been indicted for physcially and sexually assaulting a teenage girl. That is false. The cited references do not stand for the information that is cited in this article. The author does not distinguish between the FLDS Church and the Corporation of the FLDS, which creates confusion and misdirection.Loquitor (talk) 01:20, 29 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed the work you did, so was wondering if you are happy with the article now or do you still think it needs changes? Additionally I agree that the way you added "of the Corporation" works better then the way it was. Up until just recently there was no distinction between Prophet and President, making this completely new territory. FYI, I did not come up with this style or this box, I just copied with from elsewhere, so I copied the "of the Corporation" to the other "Religious title’s" to Jeff's just it clearer there also.
I did change the “Prophet” part basded on your input. One of these four men hold the title "Prophet", therefore the title should not include “Possibly” since someone is "Prophet". That is why each name includes "possibly", since each man possibly holds the actual title “Prophet”. I didn't put Nielsen name down since I thought it was redundant, but since someone else didn't see it the same way I relize that it needs to be made clearer. However I did add Nielsen name and move "possibly" just to clarify that no one is sure who is "Prophet", inculding him, or even if it's changed. I think that was what you were going for. If I'm wrong let me know so we can work out something better what we can both agree on. What do you think?--ARTEST4ECHO talk 12:40, 27 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Comment - I think the concept of "possibly" being a prophet is not proper material for an encyclopedia. I think the infobox should go because it gives no verifiable information and it still implies W. Nielsen is the sitting president and prophet by designating him "incumbent." when and if it is clarified who is prophet from a reliable source, that would be the time to add an infobox. Incidentally, there are rumors that Lyle Jeffs or Nephi Jeffs may be the acting prophet, or that there is currently no prophet. There's too much speculation to include it in a wiki article other than to say the issue is not publicly settled. There's also speculation that W. Nielsen was substituted as Pres. just to give him standing in UEP litigation or to pave the way for Warren to have standing, and the title means nothing. You already mention the concepts in the body of the article -- the infobox is just misleading and confusing. It's hard to write about this group because of their secrecy. Finally, because this is a biography of a living person, there really should be no speculation about him, only hard verifiable facts. Take care. Loquitor (talk) 00:38, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
