origin[edit]

Please, discuss and settle your differences of opinion about chinese/german! Good luck.Super48paul (talk) 21:44, 13 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Super48paul. Since it does not seem to be a question that Wersi was originally a German company, it seems like the issue is the recent switch in some manufacturing to a partnership with a Chinese company. This was discussed in the Half-Year Activity Report, which I added as reference 2 to the article. This report seems to indicate that, while some manufacturing is indeed conducted in China, the majority of the manufacturing, as well as design and business operations, are conducted in Germany. For these reasons, it seems logical to have the introduction merely mention Germany, as that is both an identifying and historic aspect of the company. Like Advertising and Promotion[edit]

"The 1980s saw WERSI introduce the most spectacular digital line of instruments to the world - the CD-Line. The famous Spectra was the wonder of the 1987 Musikmesse ..." [my emphasis] has the tone of promotion. I wonder whether the writer is an interested party. The article would best describe the company and its products from a neutral viewpoint.
