Civil Parishes[edit]

There are many more parishes within. the new district than those currently listed Penrithguy (talk) 23:23, 1 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Penrithguy the list is of Major settlements and parishes, not all. If you feel that a complete list should be included, feel free to create one 209.93.179.186 (talk) 06:39, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Administrative division?[edit]

Why is this now just "administrative division"? That seems very vague, like describing London as a "settlement", plus if it has "with unitary authority" [sic?] why not just go back to "unitary authority area"? The legislation.gov.uk source uses "non-metropolitan county and [...] non-metropolitan district". I'd consider restoring it, but as a Welsh person, I have little knowledge of the mess that is English local government, in honesty. Dank Jae 19:47, 20 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

DankJae: This was a unilateral, if bold, change, which I have now undone. I don't think we need that kind of vagueness (same applies to Cumberland). There's SO much fiddling with county and district articles at the moment and I just wish they could be stable for a while. Rcsprinter123 (jaw) 22:59, 20 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
