Adding a new heading: Restoration

Hi there. I am participating in a Wiki Edu project at the University of Alberta and I am intending to add a section under Wetlands: restoration. As conservation and valuation are already topics under wetlands which differ from restoration I think that this topic will fit in nicely. I do not believe that I have enough information to contribute to a whole separate page. I will be adding information in segments over the next few weeks. Any questions, comments, or concerns please feel free to address me.Mjwatcho (talk) 17:48, 16 March 2017 (UTC)

Contradictions

Article states in the SAME section: "Wetlands perform two important functions in relation to climate change. They have mitigation effects through their ability to sink carbon..." and yet "Wetlands are a significant source of methane emissions. They also are emitters of nitrous oxide, a major greenhouse gas." So what is the conclusion from this? 2600:6C48:7006:200:D84D:5A80:173:901D (talk) 03:00, 14 July 2018 (UTC)

Whether a wetland is a net source or sink of carbon depends on characteristics of the specific wetland. It is inappropriate to make generalizations one way or the other.--Paul Adamus (talk) 15:34, 27 July 2018 (UTC)

Deleted source now linking to phishing site

Source 45 is now a broken link leading to what I presume is a phishing url. I'm not an editor and not versed enough in wikipedia formatting to fix it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.41.5.184 (talk) 06:16, 12 May 2020 (UTC)

Wikiedu Proposed Edits

Hello,

I'm considering adding a subsection under "Wetland Disturbance" titled "water chemistry" to add more information regarding the processes which affect wetland functions. I hope that this edit will help readers further understand the delicate balance that exists in a wetland. I would be happy to receive feedback on this proposed edit. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jameschem (talkcontribs) 13:54, 7 February 2019 (UTC)

I have just made some improvements to these student edits. For one, one of the references provided was to another Wikipedia article, which is not good (Wikipedia articles cannot be used as citations). EMsmile (talk) 02:14, 9 August 2021 (UTC)
