Release into main page[edit]

Do we have to wait till production begins on What If...? S2 so that we release it on main page? Loki S2 is on main page as it is currently filming/ Seaweed Brain1993 (talk) 05:42, 15 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

We do not yet have a split season 1 article, and there has yet to be a formal discussion on the main What If article to start the process of getting the article ready to split or even determining if it currently is even necessary to split out per MOS:TVSPLIT. The amount of individual season 1 info currently for What If compared to Loki is definitely not the same, with there being more Loki info at the time of split. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 15:08, 15 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

No Longer 2023[edit]

disney+ japan released an updated release schedule and it does not include what if season 2. any thoughts?223.233.27.215 (talk) 13:50, 30 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

We do not go by Disney's international sites as they have been wrong in the past. Rumors of delays have been swirling but nothing has been officially confirmed. Trailblazer101 (talk) 15:33, 30 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Atandwa Kani confirmed in a tweet he'll be voicing T'Chaka / Black Panther[edit]

Diverging Note for Episode 6[edit]

Most episodes for What If in Wikipedia feature a note that mentions where the story diverges from the MCU - there is no such note for Episode 6 (in this case Ragnarok happens before Tesseract is moved to Earth). Should one be added? 90.250.146.41 (talk) 08:06, 2 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

No, because there is no easily point-able divergence that relates to the main plot of an MCU film. We learn that Odin left the Tesseract in Norway in the early parts of The First Avenger, but we never see that act actually occur. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 22:44, 2 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You don't need to give an exact date but the Watcher does explain the "What if?" here, saying that Ragnarok happened before Odin had the chance to place the Tesseract on Earth. This could be mentioned as currently, it could be read that the MCU Ragnarok happened as it did, and the Tesseract then crash landed on Earth. Gonnym (talk) 10:07, 3 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I like that. I've added this after the first sentence: Odin being unable to place the Tesseract on Earth because of Ragnarok is where the story diverges. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 17:52, 3 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I think that works perfectly. -- ZooBlazer 18:33, 3 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
