Senate screening[edit]

User Thomasolson just added to the article "Details on subcommittee hearings on the series" (his edit summary) which mainly describe acts of violence that the committee saw when they screened the episode "The Grudge." What was described is literally impossible to believe was all in a single, "thirty-minute" episode of a circa 1960 mainstream USA TV Western series. The cite at the end of the paragraph supports only the final sentence, which has nothing to do with the Senate committee, the screening, or the particular episode. Consequently, I'm posting a citation request tag there, with a link to this in my edit summary. --Tbrittreid (talk) 19:44, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The assination did not happen. The shooting six times, and laughing after, did not happen on screen; it was ten years earlier. The rest did happen (though the whip use was brief and obviously fake). Pvtbuddie (talk) 17:59, 23 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The IMDb currently lists four silent films, rather than three, and two 1930s productions, rather than one.
