Citing the Black Book of Communism[edit]

Surely there is a more scholarly source than this, whose own Wikipedia article spends a considerable portion of its text illustrating its controversial status within academic historiography. If the content is essential to the article, I recommend grounding it in a less contentious source.

Moreover, I gently question the utility of the prose in which the Black Book is cited, which seems to have been written mainly to argue that the White Army were responsible for fewer crimes than the Red Army. (At least this argument is partially balanced by citations from Ronald Suny.) I recommend moving this whole portion outside of the "History" section of the article, perhaps into its own section titled "The White Terror", in which it would make more sense to contrast it to the Red Terror via citations from the likes of Werth & Suny. 184.58.207.73 (talk) 16:41, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
