Cleanup notes[edit]

I just finished cleaning up the sources and plan to do a full copyedit soon. The main error I noticed is the lack of page numbers: when books, journals, and other multi-page works are cited, the page number should be stated (see WP:PAGENR). In at least one of the books cited, different chapters with different authors should be cited separately ("Citing a chapter in a book with different authors for different chapters and an editor" at Template:Cite book). Also, I couldn't find the publisher of the journals Multicultural Education and The Social Studies, and I'm not sure how the 1619 project being criticized by Trump one day is relevant to this article (WP:RECENTISM). Lastly, I placed Use mdy dates to standardize the date format of citations. The primary author of this article is welcome to change it. Wikinights (talk) 20:05, 25 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I will definitely go through and add page numbers. Thanks for your edits - MBJAnderson (talk) 22:44, 29 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Comments on recent edits[edit]

Hi MBJAnderson, thank you for creating this excellent and extremely timely article. I think this would benefit a lot from the inclusion of images throughout. Specifically, the history section could include photos of Native American boarding schools or segregated schools before Brown v. Board of Education. Additionally, I would include a brief section on resistance to change and denial of racism in U.S. education. Best, 19jshi (talk) 04:22, 26 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Lead revised - remove banner?[edit]

I have shortened the lead's length so that it's more proportional to the article. Would someone look it over and see whether it works to remove the lead-too-long banner? I may go ahead and remove it after more revisions. MBJAnderson (talk) 20:54, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Possible further revisions[edit]

Hi, I am considering adding more information to the article--probably regarding K-12 education vs. higher education, how white supremacy has manifested (and been addressed) in different regions throughout the country, and adding to the race narratives section. If anyone comes by and has ideas, I would love to hear them. MBJAnderson (talk) 06:36, 10 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
