is/was[edit]

@RJ4: Regarding this revert, the article says that the series ended in 1986, so "was" seems appropriate in the opening sentence, not "is". Has the series been revived or is it still running? If so, please let me know a source and let's add that info to the article. —Ben Kovitz (talk) 00:11, 9 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The series still exists, in fact it was shown on FoxTel some years ago. According to the Wikipedia Manual of Style, because it is still extant, this means that the use of "is" should be used, rather than "was". To quote WP:TVNOW:

"as the show will still exist even after it is no longer airing new episodes (e.g. "The Dick Van Dyke Show is a...")."
