Game Play and Development

[edit]

The list of activites in Gameplay seems to be quite large and with a lot of white space. I think that they should be reformatted into some form of a table or into a collapsable list in order to appear tidier. Here is a subsection of the table I quickly put together (the rest of it is commented out for clarity), if it looks good to add:

Yoga Strength Training Aerobics Balance Games
Deep Breathing Single Leg Extension Hula Hoop Soccer Heading
Half-Moon Sideways Leg Lift Super Hula Hoop Ski Jump

I also personally think that the development section is lacking, focusing too much on MIyamoto's initial design and too little on the actual development. I think that the Iwata Asks interviews would be incorporated, as they are rich in detail. I have the link to first volume, but references should be created when they are actually used, and I suggest with <ref name="iwata_volX_Y">, where X is the volume number and Y is the page number.

Proposed merge of Wii Fit Plus into Wii Fit

I don't think Wii Fit Plus is notable enough to warrant its own article, especially since the lead of its article states that "the game is an enhanced version of Wii Fit." Aside from some new minigames, activities, and features, it is fundamentally the same game. I liken it to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which is basically an enhanced version of Mario Kart 8; a discussion in January 2022 on merging the articles of those two games found unanimous support. • Support Merge - If this had WP:SIGCOV to merit its own spinout article I could see it having merit. As I understand it this is essentially Wii Fit 1.5, and it didn't exactly like the journalistic world on fire, so there's not coverage enough to support something standalone when this could easily be merged. --Teancum (talk)
