http://www.railfanswelcome.com/RailfansWelcome.htm claims that this is the longest trestle in USA. Brianhe 22:45, 28 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

1902 or 1904?

[edit]

Article currently contradicts itself about when the line opened. - Jmabel | Talk 01:52, 16 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

For what it's worth, almost all links I've found (other than those that rely on the wikipedia article) give 1904 as the opening date. Here's one link from a 2003 Seattle Times article: [1] — 02:12, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

1904 seems much more probable to me, since that is the date that Wilburton as a community claims as its origin. - Jmabel | Talk 04:56, 16 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Given a total lack of citation for 1902, I believe we should change this to say 1904, consistently. - Jmabel | Talk 04:57, 16 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Go for it. The 1902 date wasn't added to the article until November 2007. The same edit added a source that may have supported the date, but the link is inactive so I can't confirm this. The 1902 category was added in March 2008, most likely just following the infobox data. — Myasuda (talk) 05:38, 16 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
