Am I correct in saying that the flies and mosquitos which he studied are "Diptera" instead of Dipterans?Rosen643 (talk) 18:19, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That would be pretty much like saying "Dinosauria" instead of "dinosaurs". They're both correct in this context, if the former a little old-fashioned. Diptera (not in italics unless it's a clade name) is the name of the taxon.--Earrnz (talk) 01:52, 19 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
