First Wife
[edit]I don't believe that Wilhelm was ever married to Charlotte of Saxe-Altenburg. I believe his first wife should be Loiuse of Saxe-Hildburghausen. Indisciplined 16:21, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
Which is the same person under a different name. Her father Frederick, Duke of Saxe-Altenburg was the last Duke of Saxe-Hildburghausen but changed his title in 1826. Her full name is listed as "Charlotte Luise Fredericka Amalie Alexandrine" in his page. I only added "Charlotte" here for simplifications reasons. User:Dimadick
- A-ha. That makes sense. I think i've seen Saxe-Hildburghausen used as Charlotte/ Louise married Wilhelm (1816) before her father changed his title (1826). She'd have been a princess of Saxe-Hildburghausen at the time of her marriage. A quick note in the article might help avoid confusion. Indisciplined 22:54, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
