Criticism of Montessori[edit]

Why does this article say nothing about Kilpatrick's criticism of Montessori? WithGLEE (talk) 14:13, 16 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I wonder the same thing (about why there is no mention of Kilpatrick's book The Montessori System Examined)? Before the book, the Montessori movement was thriving and Maria Montessori was speaking to sold-out crowds at Carnegie Hall. But he largely panned Dr. Montessori and her scholarship - effectively ending American interest in her work almost immediately. Work4good (talk) 14:34, 25 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Socialism?[edit]

The entire political views section is unsourced and makes major claims about the subject, specifically that he was a democratic socialist. This is very problematic.  — Mr. Guye (talk) (contribs)  00:44, 19 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Virgin birth of Mary?[edit]

The article states, "He was at Mercer University...but resigned when the trustees were concerned about his doubting the virgin birth of Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ."

Was the belief in question that Mary was born of a virgin, or that Jesus himself was? This needs to be clarified or corrected (and cited). Aj537 (talk) 22:41, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
