Death

[edit]

Hi Jamiri, No worries, I understand your revert. I just wanted to let you know that William Ellison was a contributor to Wikipedia and it is another contributor who was informed of his death. The news was reported on fr:Wikipédia:Le_Bistro/19_mars_2022#Triste_nouvelle. It is of course not a source for the article, but at least you know where the news comes from. Best regards, SenseiAC (talk) 22:50, 21 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi SenseiAC, what discouraged you from adding this link to the edit summary or presenting it in the discussion prior to your edit? --Jamiri (talk) 05:33, 22 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Jamiri: I could have. Would it have changed anything to your revert? I doubt it. SenseiAC (talk) 14:35, 22 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
SenseiAC: According to WP:V you must have: ″The burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material.″ At least, it would have made your edit reasonable. ″RIP″ is far away from that. --Jamiri (talk) 19:02, 22 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
As I said, I understand your revert and I am not contesting it, so please keep cool. I know well the rules, don't worry. SenseiAC (talk) 19:25, 22 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I am cool. Simply follow the rules if you know them. A hint to the note in frWP in the present arcticle discussion may have caused the provision of more reliable sources by other authors. And by the way: Yes, it would have changed something in my decision to revert.--Jamiri (talk) 20:40, 22 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
