Suspected conflation[edit]

I strongly suspect there is a conflation of two William Morleys. The History of Parliament article on the William Morley who allegedly committed suicide in 1658 makes it clear he is to be distinguished from William Morley, an uncle of his who was living in Chichester by 1605, and establishes his birthdate in 1606, not 1586.Cloptonson (talk) 20:19, 21 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Definitely. I'll try and tease them apart - the HoP article suggests most of the details here are about the MP. Andrew Gray (talk) 09:47, 5 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Cloptonson: Done; little unclear as to whether we should explicitly call him a Royalist in the lead, though, given the comments in HoP (neutral-ish from 1642, though probably Royalist inclined). Is it worth also moving this to eg William Morley (1606–1658)? He doesn't seem to be obviously the most notable of the people of that name. Andrew Gray (talk) 10:33, 5 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Please do, anything to get the subject distinct is welcome.Cloptonson (talk) 19:36, 5 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
