Retirement?[edit]

On List of Justices of the Supreme Court of the United States, it says retirement. On this page, it says nothing about it. -- Toytoy July 2, 2005 03:31 (UTC)

== Date of Birth? ==

The date of birth here and and elsewhere on the web is April 7, 1849. However, on the Federal Judiciary Center, they keep track of biographical information for many judges, and they list the DOB as April 7, 1849 (http://www.fjc.gov/servlet/nGetInfo?jid=588&cid=999&ctype=na&instate=na).

I have reached out to FJC to see if they have any better answers, but at the same time (in case they don't respond), I'm curious if anybody here has suggestions for getting to the bottom of this. Thoughts? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mjlissner (talkcontribs) 18:33, 11 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

OK, good news. FJC wrote back. Wikipedia was right.
