Lord Chancellor of Ireland[edit]

The article says 'On the death of Walter Fitzsimon in 1511, Rokeby became Archbishop of Dublin. He was Lord Chancellor of Ireland for much of the same period; though there is some dispute about the exact period, the generally accepted dates of his term are 1498–1509 and 1515-1521.[1]'. On page 113 of volume 1, Ball notes that the list in 'Ware's Works', 1764, ii, 109 shows Rokeby as Lord Chancellor from 1498 to 1501, but states that 'no explanation can be suggested for the inclusion of his name as chancellor at that period.' Ball's succession list for Chancellors on page 155 shows him in office from 1512 to 1513 and from 1516 to 1522. His DNB article does not mention him holding the post prior to his appointment on 21 May 1512. I propose to amend the article accordingly. Alekksandr (talk) 21:57, 5 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Now done. Alekksandr (talk) 20:50, 10 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. One should always stay with Ball in case of doubt. Chrisdoyleorwell (talk) 14:01, 12 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
