Place of death?

[edit]

Is there a source that says precisely where he died? The article says he died at home, but where was his home? Same place as where he was buried? It would make the article look more formal if we could add the place of death to the infobox/text.Zigzig20s (talk) 10:36, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

One of the obituaries included in the references (Grain Dealers Journal) says he died at his home in La Crosse, I'll add it to the infobox. Nsteffel (talk) 17:17, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Residence

[edit]

I have taken a quick look at National Register of Historic Places listings in Rock County, Wisconsin and National Register of Historic Places listings in La Crosse County, Wisconsin, and none of them have "Cargill" in their name. However, there are a fair number of red links, so it is possible he lived in one of them with his family, if the house came by another name.Zigzig20s (talk) 10:42, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like their house was razed in 1975 though it may have been added to the register before it was demolished. [1] Nsteffel (talk) 17:30, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Picture?

[edit]

I wonder where we could find a copyright-free picture of him?Zigzig20s (talk) 11:22, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Both of the obituaries linked as references ([2] and [3]) feature a photo of him which should be in the public domain. The quality isn't the greatest but it'd be a start. Nsteffel (talk) 17:25, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
