[edit]

People please stop changing the Winds Of Plague Page. It has been corrected. and set how it is supposed to be. We will block you if you try to change the page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bearjugs (talkcontribs) 19:16, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Genre issues

[edit]

WoP is certainly not "Vampirecore" in the least, and please stop changing it to that. they dont mention vampires in their music anywhere and its not themed like it anywhere throughout. ~ Guitar_Freak91 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Guitar freak91 (talkcontribs) 19:00, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism

[edit]

whoever is changing the things on here saying that band members "love the cock", stop it. you are compromising this page and its unfair to the other wiki users.Guitar freak91 (talk) 21:25, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Heres a Solution...

[edit]

If you dont like the band, then dont come here and trash it up. and the band is definitely Death Metal, and definitely has Black Metal influence if you've heard their new cd. if you dont like this, go suck on my big fat hairy cock, then lets see you complain, 'mmk? =)Guitar freak91 (talk) 02:10, 26 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I know nothing about this band, but the vandal has been abusing pages constantly and I sent a chech user on him as well as gave his IP to the administrators. Basically: It'll stop. I think we've had enough when he vandalised my user page. He didn't do too much damage, in fact, he didn't do much damage at all, so it's all good.¤IrønCrøw¤ (Speak to Me) 00:40, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Scandinavian black metal?

[edit]

Are you serious? I really cant believe it shows hint of it, because im almost 100% sure none of the members nor the band are from Scandinavia. I think that should be changed or deleted. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Genraitsu (talkcontribs) 13:40, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree.

Notability concerns

[edit]

I've no particular reason to see this article deleted, but at present this could be seen as AfD fodder. WP:MUSIC requires non-trivial coverage of the band in multiple reliable sources. The fact that the band are on tour with other notable bands is not in itself enough to establish notability for the band. Blackmetalbaz (talk) 20:09, 23 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Symphonic black metal?

[edit]

Alright, I know they have symphonic elements in their music, but they have NO black metal elements, so that does not seem right. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.156.3.86 (talk) 02:28, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. WoP are definately a Symphonic metal band but there are no Black metal elements at all. All the album pages should be changed to show that they aren't Symphonic Black metal. KezianAvenger (talk) 14:28, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Could we get some sources stating for or against symphonic black metal? KezianAvenger (talk) 22:32, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Symphonic - [1], [2], [3], [4], [5]
Black - [6], [7], [8], [9], [10]
There ya go.  Esradekan Gibb  "Talk" 23:27, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Number 6 is first party and 9 doesn't say they are but the others work. Post them on the article. KezianAvenger (talk) 14:44, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Also, number 3 seems to be a blog which isn't acceptable on Wikipedia and number 10 can only be used if there is a staff review. Allmusic is also questionable as well for metal sources (especially extreme ones). If you don't believe me then search allmusic in the WP:Reliable sources/Noticeboard. It's not like allmusic can't be used, it just needs to be competent enough in it's reviews/bios. FireCrystal (talk) 20:55, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Heavymetal.about.com is fine and passes WP:RS. Lambgoat fails it (webzine), Wordpress is a blog, Lords of Metal fails it (webzine), Noisecree[ is fine, Myspace(!) obviously fails, Allmusic is fine as long as it is a biography or review ((but not the "genre box"), Sputnikmusic needs to be a Staff writer. What

[edit]

How is this band the only deathcore band to incorporate symphonic influences? There are plenty of deathcore bands that do this
