Cause

[edit]

Is there an apparent cause of EA snowstorms? As well as the weather in the southern hemisphere? Anything to indicate its related to the NA-EUR weather?--65.33.138.221 (talk) 10:35, 10 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. Observational evidence dose show that the storms appear to be starting in Kamchatka or North America, moving across the Atlantic, then the UK, then the EU either finally in to Turkey, or over tho China via the Himalayas. Some storms appear to have come out of Siberia to and are moving in to China and Japan via Mongolia. --86.29.139.62 (talk) 10:35, 10 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Very cold and/or snowy weather was reported across the Northern Hemisphere, with many severe cases being reported in the USA, the UK, Poland, Finland, India, Primorsky, China and Japan.--Snow storm in Eastern Asia (talk) 10:41, 11 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

As this occurred, unusually heavy rain hit Brazil, southern Bangladesh, Italy and Argentina. A heat wave and unforeseen monsoon weather also hit Australia.[1]--Snow storm in Eastern Asia (talk) 10:41, 11 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Split apart

This article covers a list of events, and the ongoing weather currently affecting the world.

I think that the December-January storms should be split off into a separate article from the Spring/Summer/Fall storms that are fundamentally just a list of storms instead of a single extensive weather train wreck.

So...

- one of these would be this article renamed, the other would be a new article.

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.
