I clearly recall the ending of "Woe To Wo Fat", which was distinctly more "comic" than Wo's other appearances on the series. In the last shot, Wo sits in a cell wearing prison stripes while McGarret stands outside and indulges in a bit of gloating. After the 5-O chief leaves, Wo produces a lockpick and grins at us. End of scene, end of episode, end of series.

Wo Fat is a classic case of a villian becoming a semi-sympathetic character simply because we get to know him over a period of time.

I remember it as well. I thought the use prison stripes was a bit campy. I'm a little disappointed that CBS never followed up on it and resolved the series properly. GeorgeC 20:01, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Growing up in Taiwan, my family watched Five-0 religiously. As a kid, I butchered every character's name, except Wo Fat's. In Mandarin Chinese, Wo Fat sounds like "lawless".

Most of the section added recently regarding Wo Fat and the remake is speculation at this point. The only thing we know is that Wo Fat was playing golf with Hiro. Koji did not confess to planting the car bomb, and he never said whether it was intended for Steve's mother or father. --Sbennett372 (talk) 14:56, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Third Season

[edit]

Would someone who has seen the third season opener fix the sentence "As the third season begin, In La O Na Makuahine, He was prepared for transferring prison until the the vehicle got hijack by an unknown chopper. He meet Delano and Akina. He had to find Shelburne. Shelburne try to kill him but fail." Thanks 68.148.93.15 (talk) 05:03, 26 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
