premieres[edit]

Of all the things I might like to know about this film, detailed release dates rank pretty close to last. Maybe this is just me.

A mention of the movie's premiere in the intro seems OK. Beyond that, I don't care.

"The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival September 10, 2017. It was released through DirecTV Cinema on May 31, 2018, before being released in a limited release on June 29, 2018, by A24."

Anything beyond premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival - does this have special significance? - in 2017 I'd delete. Especially as this information is repeated in the main text.

I think it's important to ask whether, 10 years from now, anyone will care about the exact month and date the movie was released.

Seems many things on the Internet are obsessed with details about what is happening now without any perspective regarding relative importance in non-Internet time.
