Article rename

As the proper name of the Woolworths (as shown on their website and other media using their proper title) is Woolworths Supermarkets, I propose that this should be the new name for the article. It removes the need for having part of the title in brackets, but still conveys the same message. Thoughts? Nick Mitchell 98 (talk) 11:04, 26 April 2015 (UTC)

The following has been moved from Wikipedia:Requested moves/Technical requests.
Woolworths (supermarket)Woolworths Supermarkets – Page move to proper business name (see parent company website and copyright info at bottom of supermarket website. Also has continuity with Coles Supermarkets. – Nick Mitchell 98 (talk) 06:47, 17 August 2015 (UTC)

  • Hmm, arguably more WP:NATURAL, but I think this could benefit from a full discussion. Very rarely do you see it referred to as "Woolworths Supermarkets" (capitalised as its proper name, not a descriptive term like "Woolworths supermarkets"). Jenks24 (talk) 08:01, 17 August 2015 (UTC)
  • How about a title such as "Woolworths (Australian retailer)"? GregKaye 08:12, 17 August 2015 (UTC)
    • In my opinion, "Woolworths (Australian retailer)" is a worse title than the current one. Also, moving the page to its proper name not only removes the ugly and difficult parentheses, but also gives continuity with other similar articles. As mentioned, moving it to Woolworths Supermarkets provides natural disambiguation between it, parent company Woolworths Limited and other businesses. • Would someone please start an RM discussion at the article talk page to avoid cluttering up this page. Thanks.  Philg88 talk 09:57, 17 August 2015 (UTC)
