Harvard Football Captains statement

[edit]

Since it's been in the article for about a year, and it's still unverified, I'm taking out the following statement to comply with Wikipedia:Verifiability:

[WA] "has had more of its alumni become Harvard Football captains than any other high school in the United States.[citation needed]."

I looked on Google and couldn't find anything to back this up other than sites which just copied this article or a previous version of it. If anyone can find a source for this, feel free to put it back in the article. - DJHeini (talk) 05:02, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Canoe

[edit]

Is there really a canoe in the Megaron? -Rjyanco 13:01, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it's up on top of the rafters. - DJHeini (talk) 16:29, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Frequent vandalism

[edit]

I have noticed a pattern of frequent vandalising of the section "Headmasters" by unregistered users. It usually consists of replacing the last headmaster's name, Dexter Morse, with C. Bass. This is probably just some students from that school who are trying to seek revenge against their headmaster whom they do not like. If this persists, some stronger actions must be taken to stop it. The shadows are gathering again? Can it be stopped? PhishRCool Talk / Contribs / Secret Page 20:00, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have a feeling that it certainly cannot be stopped. There be a storm a-brewin'. Prepare the ships. We leave by midday. DMizaCBass Talk / Contribs / Secret Page 20:34, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
What about the town? DMizaCBass Talk / Contribs / Secret Page 20:35, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
There ain't be no town by tomarra! DMizaCBass Talk / Contribs / Secret Page 20:35, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think what I said is clear now, especially since the vandalism by Dexter morse and DMizaCBass, whose sole purpose was to perform this vandalism until they were blocked. So, I think it is safe to say, yes, the shadows are once again gathering. Can it be stopped? You tell me. QuidProQuo23 22:58, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Trivia and Wiki policy

[edit]

Could the editors of this article examine the trivia section to see if its needed or if the information could be incorporated elsewhere. The URL for Wiki Trivia policy is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Trivia_sections Thanks Magnum Serpentine (talk) 14:19, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Plagiarism

[edit]

Am I the only one who noticed that the entire section "Basketball Powerhouse" is complete copying? If you follow the link that is used as a citation at the end of the paragraph, it takes you to a page from the official Worcester Academy website; this entire page has clearly been copied and pasted on this page under a new name. I tried to find the edit of when it was put in, but I couldn't find it. Anyone willing to help? QuidProQuo23 16:22, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

ed Social Media

[edit]

This article has been mentioned in a piece "Making Wikipedia Work for You", a piece aimed at educators wanting to create and maintain flattering pages about their institution. In particular, the extensive notable alumni section was praised, but we should probably take their praise as criticism. Wikipedia pages aren't meant to be flattering profiles. The notable alumni section is completely unsourced, I think it could use some trimming. Puchiko (Talk-email) 08:37, 30 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect Information

[edit]

John Hope, who graduated in 1890 was not the founder of Atlanta University (now known as Clark Atlanta University). According to his Wikipedia page, he was born in 1868. Clark Atlanta was founded in 1865, 3 years before Hope was born. RoselakeYT (talk) 17:01, 8 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
