Chart performance: Propose to remove the number of weeks spent at peak position

[edit]

I believe that the number of weeks spent at the peak position that we have in the current version of the article should be removed. Rationale:

  1. Per guideline in WP:CHARTS, "Weeks spent at peak position should be mentioned within the article text and not inserted into the table."
  2. I never saw this in any other article.
  3. It's difficult to source, as each week would in most cases demand a separate reference.
  4. It's easy to get wrong; for example the article currently claims that the album has spend 4 weeks as #1 in Denmark. This is untrue; it was #1 in weeks 5 [1], 7 [2] and 8 [3] but not in week 6 [4].

In order not to stir up an edit war I prefer to discuss it here, rather than just removing them. Any thoughts? – IbLeo (talk) 21:24, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Done per above, as nobody have objected. – IbLeo (talk) 20:26, 18 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
