On the subject of the Communist party of Quebec[edit]

An user is dead set in linking the wikipedia entry for the Communist Party of Quebec - section of the communist party of Canada (PCQ-PCC) for the entry concerning the Communist Party of Quebec in the list of parties members of the platform.

This is getting irritating. Again, the "Communist party of Quebec" and the "Communist Party of Quebec - Section of the Communist Party of Canada" are not the same parties. The PCQ-PCC is not a member of the platform.

Furthermore, and it should be noted, the "Communist Party of Quebec" that is member of the platform does not hold the official registration of the name in the electoral bodies of Quebec, and has been told to drop the name (as it is currently registered for the PCQ-PCC). It is currently in a process of changing its name fully (as can be seen here: https://www.pcq.qc.ca/Dossiers/Autres/Archives/page_article.php?article_id=8717&type_id=2).

I would request the user in question to stop linking to the wrong wikipedia page. 70.24.177.32 (talk) 23:12, 29 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I added an efn tag for clarity, thank you for raising the issue Castroonthemoon (talk) 22:51, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It seems the "Communist Party of Quebec" that signed on to the platform finally changed their name, it's now l'Action Socialiste de Libération Nationale"
