Request for confirming the veracity of the photo[edit]

Could someone confirm that veracity and source of the photo being used: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xi_Zhongxun#/media/File:Xi_Zhongxun_on_struggle_session_in_September_1967.jpg. The photo, which is profound, doesn't explicitly say that the person who appears to be the one being shamed is actually Xi Zhongxun, although it seems implied. Again, amazing photo, but I wish it offered some explanation given the high profile of any photo involving Xi Jinping's father. Founding member of the CCP?[edit]

Can someone tell me how this man can be the founding member of the CCP when he was only 8 years old when it was founded? Propaganda is loose and fast (and often false) now that his son is yet another shining star of Chinese nepotism. Beware.123.225.117.209 13:09, 25 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Claims of historical relevance or importance that would benefit from greater clarification and/or contextualization The article's revision/expansion includes information and claims related to Xi Zhongxun's role in China's economic reforms, and more information would be helpful.

For example, within the article, it is claimed that Xi Zhongxun, during the time he served in a military capacity in Guangdong, played a significant role in crafting and implementing China's economic liberalizations and opening. His role in Guangdong is clearly worthy of further exposition. With the first SEZ of Shenzhen often serving as the testing grounds for economically progressive policies, and the southern province of Guangdong's broader economic significance and vanguard role in supporting economic reform, it is broadly acknowledged as one of, if not the most economically liberal of Mainland China's provinces, and so additional information related to Xi Zhongxun's relationships and collaboration with Party and State officials during his time there would yield a better understanding of Xi's role in supporting/furthering Deng Xiaoping's vision.

In particular, more information would be greatly welcomed related to how Xi Zhongxun may have augmented, created, supported, and/or promulgated the reform policies associated with Deng Xiaoping and senior CCP administration officials. This information would not only improve this wiki entry, it would also serve to supplement the broader documentation of China's rising and return as a world power (with the world's largest economy); the addition of a personal narrative to an event of historic proportions (like China's economic transformation within a few decades) affords readers a more nuanced, fleshed-out perspective of the event.
