Title

Not sure this is the best title or not for this page. In opposition to Xiandai wenxue:

In support of Xiandai wenxue:

  • Hsin-sheng C Kao's Nativism Overseas: Contemporary Chinese Women Writers refers to it as "Xiandai wenxue (Modern Literature)", with the same capitalisation, on p23
  • So does Jane Eldridge Miller's Who's Who in Contemporary Women's Writing on p62

Well, I wondered about that, too. I think the name should stay as is, because of the references to it in bibliographies and other lists. When you search indexes, bibliographies, and card catalogs you'll see this title, for a few reasons: (1) there are lots of journals and books with the title "Modern Literature," and (2) publications aren't in the habit of translating title like that. But perhaps we could make this a disambiguation page for "Modern Literature"? SolitaryThrush 06:11, 8 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
