Somaliland/Somalia

[edit]

@Hawkers994: I saw your revert in Yagori, Gambadhe, Ceeldhaab, etc. In Yagori, you have reverted the description to

Yagori (Somali: Yagoori, Yaguri) is a town in the eastern Sool Region of Somaliland.[1]

And in Gambadhe,

Gambadhe is a town in the Sool region of Somaliland.[2] A dry port has been constructed in the town.

And in Ceeldhaab,

Ceel Dhaab, also spelt Ceeldhaab is a town in the Aynabo District, in the Sool region of Somaliland.[3][4][5]

All sources describe these places as "Somalia" and you take the liberty of rewriting them as "Somaliland". Write as the source of information, without your own opinion. This is the basis of Wikipedia. Freetrashbox (talk) 20:03, 14 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Hawkers994: There was no response, so I reverted the description. I would expect you to provide a source to support your explanation.--Freetrashbox (talk) 11:17, 18 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

There is already a puntland somaliland dispute page which discusses this [1] Hawkers994 (talk) 15:35, 18 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Hawkers994: In the talk page you indicated, there is no consensus that Somalia can be read as Somaliland. If you are saying I am missing something, please write the date and time the consensus was made.--Freetrashbox (talk) 11:58, 19 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This town is fully under Somaliland government control with no presence of somalia government for over 32* years as shown by the sources in the article [2] Hawkers994 (talk) 12:42, 21 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Hawkers994: I am not saying who controls Yagori. In modern times, control does not mean territoriality. Since the source clearly states that Yagori is in Somalia, the statement should not be erased unless it can be shown that this is a simple mistake. And I wrote something similar in Talk:Sool, which I also found and added to this source. We need you to not only write your own opinion, but also to help us improve the description of Wikipedia. Sources in aricle [3] as well as government control and presence on the ground fully support my edit Hawkers994 (talk) 11:42, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
