This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because Yang Gensi is very famous in China. He is Chinese people's hero. Even famous national leaders praise him such as Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai. He is as important as Robert Lee I think. So he is important enough and he is a notability.— Preceding unsigned comment added by NNU-11-zhanghongjing (talkcontribs) 11:40, 18 September 2011

Maybe he is famous in your closed society, but not in the free world he isn't. Colofac (talk) 12:37, 18 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Would you please tone down the xenophobia. You are only making yourself look closeminded and ignorant. Lots of people that are known only in limited circles have wikipedia articles. And they should have. 72.221.123.196 (talk) 14:03, 18 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Go AfD Mao Zedong if not being in an English-speaking country makes you non-notable by default. →Στc. 07:26, 19 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Importance is asserted; "National war hero", "honorary title “super hero”", even a memorial park named after the subject. No doubt something needs doing to the article, but it's not A7. bobrayner (talk) 13:42, 18 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because it clearly asserts importance by stating that the subject is a National hero of the worlds most populous country. — ·ʍaunus·snunɐw· 14:08, 18 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
