Article's status

Though the article's author banned for sockery but I wanted to know what's the status of this article now? I believe this biographical article with some necessary edits deserve to go in mainspace. USaamo (t@lk) 14:23, 21 July 2020 (UTC)

I agree there. The subject is quite notable. If you can make some edits, go with it. Thanks - Aaqib Anjum Aafī (talk) 14:35, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
(edit conflict) @USaamo: You can improve this draft and re-submit it for review. However, if the subject were notable someone else should get the credit for starting this from scratch. Robbing them of those incentives doesn't lead to a better encyclopedia. If we do nothing, this draft will be WP:G13'd, which is the best outcome. Chris Troutman (talk) 14:38, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
@Chris troutman: please elaborate your point. I have no intention to robb or steal anyone else's credit but since this entry is quite notable, I feel it should be on Wikipedia. The draft however was started by some sock, I don't know why but is quite resourced and I think it should not go in vain. USaamo (t@lk) 15:24, 10 August 2020 (UTC)
@USaamo: Ayesha Mallik created this draft. You could improve it, get the draft accepted into mainspace, and Ayesha Mallik would still be credited as the creator of the article. You are still welcome to do exactly that, if you wanted to. However, you could instead independently start a draft in your own user space, publish it, and get a DYK credit. You would be credited as the original author. (I'm proud of the 30+ articles I started.) If the subject's career really takes off, you might one day be able to improve the article to good article status and later featured article status and claim a Four Award. For me, that would be a career achievement on Wikipedia. If Ayesha Mallik remains the original article author I don't think you would qualify. If it were doing that work, I would't want to see Ayesha Mallik's name on an article I had put a bunch of effort into. It's up to you. Perhaps awards don't motivate you; they motivate me. Well good of you then Chris troutman. As to me I believe in knowledge sharing, be it through any mean, credits are not much important in it. It's a well resourced article and whoever drafted it has already done a good effort on it so it should not go in vain. It just need a better standard of writing. I'll be happy to work on it to bring it on mainspace but I'm just under apprehension that it may not be WP:G5'd. USaamo (t@lk) 06:15, 11 August 2020 (UTC)
G5 deletion was refused, so I don't think you need to worry about that. Chris Troutman (talk) 13:55, 11 August 2020 (UTC)
